Our Queer City Map, a historical walking route through the center of Utrecht, will be published on December 8th.
Maurice van Lieshout wrote a window on Utrecht’s gay bars, from the 18th century to the present: molly houses, condoning pubs, women’s cafes and gay bars; including a still incomplete list of addresses and parties.

Yesterday, Coming Out Day, the Utrecht queer film festival won the Annie Brouwer Korf Award 2023.
On September 15, 2023, Marijke Huisman and Maurice van Lieshout presented some highs and lows from Utrecht’s queer history for some 100 visitors of the Historical CafĂ© Oud-Utrecht in the library on the Neude in Utrecht. Oud-Utrecht recorded their performance.
In the exhibition ‘History happens now’ on the ILHIA square in the Amsterdam Public Library, QUS is included with the photo of Mayor Dijksma waving at the municipal boat with the rainbow canon at the Utrecht Pride.
