Thomas Höft wrote a new libretto for Bach’s St Johns Passion. Instead of the suffering of Christ, the story focuses on the suffering of LGBTQIA+ people, who were discriminated against and murdered, nowadays and in the past. The Utrecht sodomite persecution is part of the new text.
